Suffering the loss of a loved one is hard. Gut wrenching pain that takes a while to show is weird to someone who doesn't experience it normally, as if there is anything normal about that kinda stuff. Nature has a strange way of dealing things out, the most common thing in life is death but humanity struggles to separate itself from it because we all know we have it coming. When my best friend passed away a year and a half ago I was so confused about it. When I heard the news from one of his relatives I wept like a child, the hardest I can ever recall, as if it was the only time in my life I cried, and beacuse of that was all expelled from me. I could no longer cry from that point forward. I remember at his funeral everyone cried but me, I was completely composed and secure. But what troubles me most is under the surface;a once a month turned once a week descent into depression that I cannot speak of to anyone who understands. I have come to the realization that my conversations prior to his death are ones I can never get over, his death I can never get over and the sinking reality is I pray I can keep my bearings long enough... Long enough to meet him again if my religion is correct. I shall have to bide my time and wait and see if my faith is true. If not all of my memories of him must drift off into the cosmos, glad to leave a mark, but hard to discover.

What do a photo of a you and a gun have in common with a photo of you giving a speach? They are both not up for discussion. I think people must fight much harder to demand that all amendments are treated equally.

How the hell is it the people in this country don't' get it. You have a bunch of assholes like Barney Frank and pelosi that forced the government to hand out bad loans backed up by the tax payer to feed their constituents, then they blame bush when they default. They act like everything is the republicans fault. LET ME REMIND YOU IN 2006 ALL OF THIS CRAP STARTED WHEN THEY TOOK OVER CONGRESS!!! These are the same idiots who ran detroit into the ground with the unions. Not to completely throw unions under the bus because they did do some good for us ie: weekends, but in all honestly they got greedy over the last few years and if you have been to one of these shops that are union you will see guys telling each other "well I only put the nut on the stud and then you have to tighten it down" kinda crap. The people in charge are rollin us up like fools and need a dose of dave ramsey on there ass. We cannot keep printing money at this rate for long.

In the mean time buy as much ammo as possible, I cleaned out Academy a week ago for 1300 rounds. When I walked in I saw 10 boxes of 7.62x39 and put them in my little plastic basket I got at the door but on the way out I noticed a display they just set up with over sixty boxes. After I pushed it all into the weak plastic basket the handles on it bent in half and it took two arms to carry it to the counter, it was funny because the old timer behind me was asked by his grandson "hey grandpa, whats that" he replied "thats a thousand rounds son" I have to admit I did enjoy it and got a few concerned looks but In all honesty there is something scary about having to purchase civil rights accessories out of fear.

the bond encyclopedia was excellent. the coverage of the moore films did allot to remind me of the vhs tapes I would rent from the grocery store, does anyone remember the chick with the cross bow?

pof usa has some excellent carbines and uppers for sale, I saw some for sale with texas tactical at the gun show. I think these are the closest to hk 416 and set the standard for what is coming out. the uppers are made by ds arms, the have the cross systems which pof is using or having dsa make for them or so it seems. but I cannot determine that from what I have been reading, I do like the low heat, no lube or minimal lube features, the problem is that here is not allot of standardization of parts or systems I think the pof will make though, versus the bushmaster version which I think is already toast.

We have been bombarded with every single Obama ad lately, I'm glad he lost. We have signs for him and Hillary all over our trendy little neighborhood because we are really close to town and I have to answer calls during dinner from his wife bugging me to support him. We need to keep Hill in it to divide the party.....

New Sig mosquito is out... the Guns America site has great videos of it from shot show. I dig the 556 but I'm holding off on what is coming from this gas piston craze. I think our options are increasing and I want to wait to make sure all the bugs are out. I thin it is a possibility we might have the HK 416 after all and I need 7.62 and there is not allot out yet on those.

AWB II IS COMING!!!! I set aside 5,000 grand for two rifles, 1 handgun and some ammo to hold on to because we will not get them back, unlike the first one.

By the way voting here in Texas yesterday was pathetic, I mean good. Good in the sense it literally took me less than 3 minutes to vote because we had no line. Pathetic because the dems had to wait down the street and had probably 400-500 people versus our 5 inline. Scary times I say.

I felt like taking tomorrow off but didn't have the huevos to do so. New store I am taking over slanging nuts and bolts and wondering how I am good at it. It pays well so no complaints that are too serious. I have been troubled by Mr. Beck my dear friend who is well into his eighties has been hospitalized and were praying he makes it out of another health problem. I swear to God he is one of the toughest men I have ever met and never loses his sense of humor. Every one needs to take the time to talk to these WWII men and hear their story, if you think your having a crappy day listen to what these guys went through. I was fortunate enough to see him last thursday and too busy to make it there today, the wife and I plan to see him on thursday. I wont discuss much about the five hours we spent together talking about our lives, but I will say he was sharp as a razor the whole time and I wont be the same in terms of how I live my life from now on.

Wow, two liberals and we think one is more conservative than the other. One loves Guns and immigrants, the other hates guns and immigrants. I think we have no one that is gonna do better than giving us the option like they do every single election cycle of voting for the lesser of two evils. How come no one will just come and say what they believe, defend it and keep going on with the campaign. I am so confused my head hurts.... The only guys that are true conservatives are Paul, who is against the war so I cant vote for him or Thompson who is asleep at the wheel and is actually running for VP despite what all my friends think.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas, ours was fantastic and everyone got to spend a bunch of time together. I got what I wanted including a great new cash and willie cd, a power inverter for the truck and some nice clothes. I also got a James Bond encyclopedia with a review to follow. I have become friends with a Vietnam POW recently, we always meet up at the same restaurant in my area for killer Mexican food. During our discussion, we both discovered how much the other one enjoys firearms and knives. My bud proceeded to go out to his car and bring me a Boker AK-74 automatic knife. I caught the radio for about an hour this morning and heard one of the girls that reads the traffic report ask the daily poll question for their website. She said: "tell us your thoughts in our poll question of the day, would it be good for the United States to merge with Canada and Mexico" WTF? You have to be smoking dope to actually answer. How on earth would that be good for America, how can you even ask that because if it happened America would not exist anymore. It's like asking someone if it would be a good idea to put a gun to your head and pull the trigger because that's exactly what it would do... Nothing can be good for anything if it terminates itself in the process.

I have to say wal-mart is getting worse by the minute, I made the unfortunate mistake of attempting to get a Christmas tree tonight and after discovering that all the nurseries were closed and the Grocery store was out of stock that my only alternative was Wally world. After I did find a place to park and navigated through the signs that were in Spanish I realized that all the tree's they had were completely dead and maybe 2 of them were over 4' tall. Nice.... So now I'm home empty handed and reluctantly starting to believe my wife was right about sucking it up and getting a fake one. I am by the way the only person I know that does not get a fake tree, It makes me feel like a sellout getting some pos with lead in that was made in China, but thats just me I guess.
